Legend of Maula Jatt join Rs 200 crore, marking unprecedented success.
The Legend of Maula Jatt movie, which was direct by Bilal Lashari, has already earned the distinction of becoming the first to join the 100-crore club. The movie has so far made $9.05 million in worldwide box office receipts, which translates to more than Rs 200 crore club in Pakistani rupees.
The Lashari-directed movie is still in theatres everywhere and is expected to do well.Maula Jatt reportedly became the Indian subcontinent’s highest-grossing movie in the UK box office in the previous four years, according to a report by a British agency.
The Legend of Maula Jatt has previously topped earnings of PKR 150 crores; Lashari tweeted about the news.
With its box office takings of Rs172 crores globally after experiencing enormous commercial success, the highest-grossing Pakistani movie has eclipsed the lifetime profits of popular Punjabi movies like Carry on Jatta 2, Saunkan Saunkne, and Chal Mera Putt 2 are some examples.
For those who are unaware, the movie, a remake of the legendary Punjabi movies Maula Jatt from 1979, was releas in theatres everywhere on October 13. The legendary rivalry between Noori Natt and Maula Jatt serves as the central theme of the movie.
