Meta platforms to launch threads web version in reply to Competitor X.
Threads will be more advantageous for power users like brands, company accounts, advertisers, and journalists thanks to the much awaited web version. Although Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, stated it would happen soon, Meta did not provide a launch date.
Mosseri wrote on Threads, “We are near on online… The Wall Street Journal said that the launch might take place as soon as this week.
Following the initial rush to explore Meta’s new product, Threads, which went live as an Android and iOS app on July 5 and amassed 100 million users in only five days, suffered a decline in popularity as users shifted back to the more well-known platform X.
According to a report by analytics platform Similarweb dated August 10, its daily active users on Android app decreased to 10.3 million from a peak of 49.3 million in less than a month.
The management is launching new features swiftly in the interim. Accounts may now set post notifications and view them in a kind of chronological feed through Threads.
Soon, it will launch an enhanced search that would enable users to look for particular postings rather than simply accounts.
