Imran Khan, despite arrest order, yet appear in Toshakhana case court.
Sardar Masroof Khan, Imran Khan’s junior lawyer, appeared in court on Tuesday. Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha, head of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, and Election Commission lawyer Saad Hasan also appeared in court in Toshakhana case.
Assistant Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal asked if Imran Khan will not come to court today. The lawyer stated that unknown whether Imran would come to court, but that the PTI chair’s senior legal team would appear at 10 a.m. The hearing subsequently deferred till 10 a.m. by the court.
A day earlier, judge Zafar Iqbal denied the former prime minister’s motion to suspend the non-bailable arrest warrants in the Toshakhana case.
Following a brief hearing of the case on Monday, the court reserved its verdict first and revealed its conclusion later. Due to his consistent absence from case hearings, the court issued arrest warrants for Imran Khan. The hearing postponed until March 7 by the judge (today).

Last week, extra sessions judge Zafar Iqbal issued non-bailable arrest warrants for the PTI head after he failed to appear in court while attending hearings in three other instances including forbidden funding, terrorism, and attempted murder brought against him in other nearby local courts.
The judge stated in the verdict given on Monday, a copy of which is accessible to The News, that Imran had not contested the arrest warrants issued for him in any forum. accused scheduled to appear in this court on February 28 following his hearings in other courts, but he purposefully evaded doing so.
“A warrant must remain in effect until canceled by the court that issued it or until executed in accordance with Section 75(2) CrPC,” the court ruling noted. It stated that warrants for Imran’s appearance in court had been issued, but that the PTI head not present in court even on Monday.
