UK refuse to PIA flight ban, citing safety concern communicate to CAA.
According to sources with knowledge of the development, the British Department of Transport’s (DfT) Air Safety Unit wrote a letter to the CAA to express its concerns regarding the steps it had done to ensure flight dependability. CAA received the letter on September 8, 2022.

The DFT expressed its dissatisfaction with the actions taken by the CAA to ensure flight safety and standards in the letter. The DfT believes that despite the licence difficulties and Pakistani aviation laws being resolved, the suspension cannot be lifted due to a lack of progress.

According to information, the FIA’s Corporate Crime Circle detained Farhan Kashif, a former PIA engineer, in connection with a controversy involving a bogus degree. After arriving in Pakistan by a foreign aircraft from Doha, the FIA detained a PIA official at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, according to sources.

FIA arrested a PIA official from Jinnah International Airport Karachi after he returned to Pakistan from Doha via an airline that is foreign said sources. It is pertinent to mention here that it was not the time that is first the FIA arrested PIA employees in a fake degree scam. Earlier, the crime is corporate of FIA arrested two PIA officers Muhammad Sher Iqbal and Muhammad Asif in a fake degree scandal back in 2020.
