DFT has agreed to give Modern Security Machines to Pakistan airports.
According to sources, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has decided to equip the Pakistan airports with state-of-the-art security technology provided by DFT.
According to sources, these devices would result in the removal of additional controls on hold luggage screening for planes headed to the UK. As well as an increase in the effectiveness and speed of holding baggage screening.
According to them, the UK High Commission is making every effort to ship the equipment to Pakistan as quickly as possible using one of its contractors.
In light of previous talks between the CAA, DFT, and UK aviation, which were deemed to be quite encouraging, the most recent development suggests that the UK intends to open its airports to airlines with Pakistani origin.
An agreement to establish a new security system at the country’s airports was reached in February of last year between the management of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and the British Department for Transport.
The three-person British transport department delegation and members of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA), Airports Security Force (ASF), and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) had discussed the issue during their meeting (PCAA).
While a similar training session had previously been organised at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, he said that the idea was a continuation of the cooperative efforts of Pakistan and the British High Commission to increase aviation safety.
