US stressed unrestricted internet access for public as X, still down.
Microblogging site X was suspended again on Wednesday, after it had been restored for a few hours on Monday and Tuesday. Users were experiencing difficulties accessing the website to check for updates and the newest trends.
Matthew Miller, a spokesman for the US State Department, recently discussed the circumstances in Pakistan. In response to a question, Mr. Miller described elections and government formation as matters that are domestic to Pakistan. Nonetheless, he reaffirmed the need to look into claims of anomalies.
The official also voiced worries over Twitter’s disruption in the aftermath of the election on social site X.
Miller stated that while he is unable to provide specifics at this time, Washington consistently supports complete Internet freedom worldwide, including the availability of tools for interpersonal communication.
