After experiencing stomach cramps during the seven-match T20I series earlier this year, England Cricket Team’s Chef has brought for the three-match Test series against Pakistan.
During the early stages of Brendon McCullum’s tenure as England head coach, the England Test team has been shedding support staff. However, a chef has been added for their upcoming tour of Pakistan.
Omar Meziane, the English football team’s chef during the 2018 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2020, will be the chef on the historic tour of Pakistan, according to the details.
ESPNcricinfo reported that during England’s seven-match T20I series in the subcontinent country, some white-ball players and support staff complained about the food.
The problems experienced were far from severe: no one became ill for an extended period of time, and England went on to win the series 4-3. However, due to the demands of a Test match, not least the back-to-back nature of the three-match series over 21 days in three different locations (Rawalpindi, Multan, and Karachi), having someone oversee food preparation and tailor menus according to specific requirements and tastes throughout felt a necessary controllable.
One of Cricket Australia’s few regrets from their successful tour of Pakistan earlier this year was not bringing a chef. It should be noted that this is the first time England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has hired a chef specifically for an overseas tour. The series begins on December 1 at Pindi Stadium.

It is worth noting that England will play Test cricket in Pakistan for the first time in nearly 17 years. They last met in 2005, when the home team won the series 2-0.
