The complaint claimed that several websites were created specifically for online gambling and betting on sports, including football, tennis, cricket, and card games like Teen Patti. Several defendants were mentioned in the FIR, including Sahil. The FIR was eventually forwarded to the Economic Offense Wing (EOW) for the experiment.

The FIR states that Bankar found multiple social media applications for online betting. He claimed that the defendants snuck in prospective participants by using social media sites to lure them in and convince them to invest and register on the website. The FIR states that the scam has a value of around Rs 15,000 crore.
