Ashraf has been federal government formed a new management committee.
Zaka Ashraf has been chosen to serve as the new committee chairman of the PCB management committee after the federal cabinet approved its formation by summary distribution.
Ahmed Shahzad Farooq Rana has been replaced as the Chief Election Commissioner of the PCB by Mahmood Iqbal Khakwani after the government removed him from the office.
The ICC, among other things, will be under the administration of the PCB new management committee, which has been in place for four months.
There are ten people on the committee: Kaleemullah Khan, Ashfaq Akhtar, Mossadegh Islam, Azmat Parvez, Zaheer Abbas, Khurram Soomro, Khawaja Nadeem, Mustafa Ramday, and Zulfiqar Malik.
The legal dispute over Ashraf’s eligibility and the election of the PCB chairman is ongoing. The management committee of the PCB held its first meeting in Lahore yesterday.
PCB chairman election was slated to take place on June 27 at the Lahore headquarters. As a result of stay orders obtained by many courts around the country, including the Balochistan High Court, the election was postponed.
It should be recalled that on June 27, the LHC suspended the Board of Governor (BoG) announcement. The postponed is PCB choice of a chairman.
The federal government, the election commissioner for the cricket board, and other parties received notices from the court.
The list of the BoG, which the temporary management committee finalized on June 20. Allegedly altered by Chief Election Commissioner Shahzad Farooq Rana, according to Malik Zulifqar appeal. It stated that the chief election commissioner’s actions were unlawful.
