150 Huts Gutted By Fire in Karachi

On Tuesday, fire in Karachi injured one lady and at 150 huts gutted.

Details indicate that at least 150 huts gutted when a fire broke out in a group of huts in Gulshan-e-Qadri, Malir. An injured woman was transported to the hospital by emergency crews after the fire.

After a frantic attempt, the flames were put out by the approximately eight fire brigade units that came immediately. It is unknown what started the fire, According to officials within the fire department.

The affected folks claimed that the fire broke out at 1:30 in the morning while everyone was asleep and that their possessions were reduced to ashes.

A fire broke out in slums in the Teen Hatti neighbourhood of Karachi in a related occurrence that happened the previous year, destroying at least 100 huts.

At least two people were hurt, and more than 100 huts were destroyed, when a massive fire broke out in the Teen Hatti bridge-abutting slums.

After a two-hour frenzied struggle, the fire was put out by three fire brigade vehicles, rescue squads, and a sizable police detachment.
