33 People Injured in Karachi Due to Aerial Firing on New Year Eve

North Nazimabad, Keamari, Native Jetty Bridge, Hussainabad, Bahadurabad, Shah Faisal Colony, Lyari, Ranchorr Line, Clifton Baldia Town, North Karachi, Sea View, Korangi, Dalmia, Gulshan-e-Iqbal 13-D, Lines Area, Mehmoodabad, PIB Colony, and Malir were among the places where the firing incidents were reported.

Social media users are also talking about a video that was shot last night showing a lady shooting at a property near Malir.

Four individuals were taken into custody in Keamari, Korangi, and PIB Colony, while a toddler in Korangi No 1 sustained injuries from a stray bullet. Two more individuals were hurt in the Gulshan 13-D neighborhood, and four more people were hurt in Lyari Daryabad, Ranchorr Line, Dalmia, and Clifton. District Central saw the arrest of eighteen individuals.

Cases against individuals involved in aerial firing on New Year’s Eve would include attempted murder charges, according to Additional Inspector General Karachi Khadim Hussain Rind.

During this year’s Independence Day festivities in Karachi, aerial shooting resulted in at least two fatalities and over eighty injuries on August 14.

AIG Rind had also instructed DIG Iqbal Dara, the chief of Karachi traffic police, to detain anyone found driving carelessly or intoxicated in light of New Year’s Eve.
