At least 4 people killed in a blast at PTI rally in Balochistan Sibi.

According to police and health officials, there were at least four people killed and many others injured from Tuesday’s blast at a PTI rally in Sibi, Balochistan.

Based on preliminary information, the explosion happened on Jinnah Road in the city.

Details reveal that the objective was an election rally held by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The Sibi Station House Officer (SHO), Zakaullah Gujjar, said that the injured people were being sent to the Civil Hospital.

He said that most of them were in bad condition and expressed worry that the number of deaths would rise.

Gujjar said that security guards showed up at the bomb site and cordoned it off as soon as the event was reported. “A bomb disposal squad is gathering evidence from the crime scene,” the speaker stated.

Separately, the PTI reported that the explosion happened at an electoral rally hosted by Saddam Tareen, a candidate supported by the party and running from the NA-253 (Ziarat) seat in the upcoming polls.

According to the report, Tareen was unharmed in the incident, but three PTI employees died and seven others were injured.

The party wrote on social media site X, “We strongly condemn this heartbreaking incident and demand that attention should be given to suppressing terrorists instead of PTI workers.”
