UAE President agrees to roll $2B loan & extend an additional $1B loan.
The Prime Minister held talks with the President of the UAE in Abu Dhabi today focusing on furthering the economic, trade and investment ties between Pakistan and UAE and creating opportunities for the Pakistani workforce in the United Arab Emirates.
This is Shahbaz Sharif’s third visit to UAE after assuming the post of Prime Minister.
“His Highness Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Abu Dhabi and wished Pakistan progress and prosperity,” Maryam Aurangzeb said, giving details of the meeting between the two.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed praised the historic ties between the two countries and the invaluable contribution of the Pakistani community in the UAE.
The Prime Minister thanked the President of the United Arab Emirates for inviting him to the brotherly country.
The two leaders discussed the existing brotherly relations between Pakistan and the UAE. Find ways and means to further strengthen these relations, especially in the areas of trade, investment and energy.
However, Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed also agreed to an official visit to Pakistan at the invitation of Shahbaz Sharif. The dates of visit to be decided through diplomatic channels.
