Mufti Taqi Says Those Engaged in Anti-State Activities are ‘Rebels’

Mufti Usmani: Military action against Pakistan is ‘rebellion,’ deemed.

Mufti Taqi Usmani referred to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as “rebels” while he was virtually speaking at the Paigham-e-Pakistan National Conference on “Countering Violent Extremism, Radicalism, and Hate Speech,” which was held here at the Faisal Masjid Campus of the International Islamic University, Islamabad.

The Ulema and Mashaykh of all schools of thought present at the meeting likewise unanimously approved the edict.

He asked the media to exercise responsibility and refrain from publishing or airing bogus news since it had a negative impact on commercial activity.

He claimed that while certain individuals sought to spread anarchy, the Ulema and Mashaykh have reaffirmed their commitment to thwarting the evil plans of the adversary against peace and security.

Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad stated that the “Paigham-e-Pakistan” had brought the country together and was contributing positively to its growth and prosperity. He said, “The Ulema and Mashaykh were opposing the enemy’s purpose and were standing with the Pakistan Army and other security services.”

Hamid Saeed Kazmi, a former minister for religious affairs, said that everyone needed to work together to find the “masterminds” who were poisoning young people’s minds.

According to Allama Iftikhar Naqvi, the “Paigham-e-Pakistan” was producing fruitful effects and needed to be widely publicized to the populace throughout the whole nation.

He criticized Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), for inciting divisiveness in society in an effort to seize power.
