Khan announce end to PTI “Jail Bharo Tehreek” and start of election.
Following the ruling by the Supreme Court, Khan made the following remarks while speaking via video link from Lahore: “The “Jail Bharo” agitation came to an end. On Saturday, the election campaign will officially begin.”
The party made its decision after the SC decided in a divided judgement. that elections for the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). assemblies should be held within 90 days.
In the ruling, the supreme court recognised that there are “various features and needs” for holding polls. but concluded that one item that was “very necessary is the timeline” for the polls.
Additionally, it stated that the Constitution provides for two election periods: 60 days in cases. where the assembly is dissolved after its term has ended and 90 days in cases. where the assembly is dissolved prior to the end of its term.
“At this point, we won’t allow the ruling parties to boycott the polls. The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), a coalition of nine parties, is evading elections. since the public is not behind them, according to the PTI leader.
The PDM-led “administration feels threatened” by the surveys. according to the deposed prime minister. whose government was expelled following a no-confidence motion in April of last year.
Khan noted that his party had won 30 out of the 37 by-elections held since the overthrow of his government. He also expressed his worries that the nation’s environment would prevent the elections from taking place in the end.
He praised the ruling of the highest court, saying: “The Supreme Court has decided in favour of respecting the rule of law. Pakistan would have been the richest nation if such judgements had been made sooner.
Khan told the nation’s highest court that “the nation stands with you for rule of law” and pledged his support.

SC verdict
“We applaud the SC ruling. The SC had a duty to preserve the Constitution, which they bravely did with their decision today. It is a proclamation of Pakistan’s legal system,” he wrote.
All five judges, according to the former prime minister, have argued against postponing elections for longer than 90 days.
The PTI leader criticised Azam Nazeer Tarar, the minister of law, for his opinions over the decision, calling them “shameful.”
Tarar had stated in his comments regarding the decision in the election date suo motu case. that he thought the petitions had been denied by a 4-3 majority. Justices Athar Minallah and Yahya Afridi had made it obvious that these are unmaintainable. He continued, at the case’s initial hearing on February 23.
Khan remarked, “Yesterday, I was summoned to Islamabad,” alluding to his Tuesday. appearance before various Islamabad courts in connection with the many cases brought against him.
Two courts granted bail to the ousted premier, and a third issued non-bailable arrest warrants for him. In another case, he was successful in getting interim release from the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
He said that 74 cases had been brought against him in all.

Khan also mentioned the charges brought against numerous PML-N and Pakistan Peoples Party officials (PPP).
