BBC charity advocate Maddy Anholt, 35, passes away for brain cancer.
Maddy Anholt passing was confirmed by her family on Wednesday night (September 13) in a GoFundMe post. Anholt had been diagnosed with the illness after giving birth to her daughter.

You may be aware that Maddy received a diagnosis of a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer not long after the birth of her amazing daughter Opal last year. Maddy Anholt managed the subsequent surgery and treatment with amazing grace and bravery, being supported at every turn by her loved ones and her beloved husband, Ben. Maddy Anholt spent her last several weeks at her parents house, surrounded by love, peace, and the sounds of nature.
She performed in sitcoms like Sunny D and Jerk, Sketchtopia on Radio 4, and The Emily Atack Show as an actor. She produced the Radio 4 sitcom No Smoke in 2017.
How To Leave Your Psychopath, her first book about unhealthful love relationships, was released in the first quarter of 2022 to widespread critical praise. Her debut book, a thriller, is anticipated to be released the following year.
Anholt was also a prolific writer of online comedies, releasing works like Valentine’s Day Scam and P.E. with Maddy during lockdown. She co-wrote Kelly, a short film about a lady caring for her parents dog, and she also acted in it in 2020.
