Voting Resumed at 6 Polling Stations of NA-143, KPK

Voting has resumed today at 6 polling stations of the NA-143 in KPK.

Voting has resumed today at 6 polling stations of National Assembly Constituency NA-143 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the details, the polling which started from 8 am today will continue till 5 pm without interruption. The Election Commission of Pakistan says that on February 8, polling could not be held in NA 43 Tank Com Dera Ismail Khan due to security concerns.

Due to security concerns, voting could not be done in 6 polling stations of NA 43 Tank, Dera Ismail Khan during the general elections on February 8. The Election Commission says that the security arrangements at the respective polling stations are very tight.

Help was also sought from Pakistan Army for security arrangements. Troops of military personnel have also been deployed for the security of the voters. During the polling on February 8, independent candidate Dawar Kundi was ahead by 63 thousand 556 votes.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam candidate and former federal minister Maulana Asad Mehmood was trailing behind with 62,730 votes against more than 63,000 votes of Dawar Kundi. Today’s voting is expected to give a final decision soon.
