Karachi: Renowned comedian Anwar Maqsood denied news of kidnapping.
Renowned comedian and screenwriter Anwar Maqsood has strongly denied online rumors claiming that he was abducted, tortured and intimidated by unknown persons.
In a message, Anwar Maqsood expressed anger at the spread of misinformation and asked his supporters to ignore the baseless allegations.

Unlike the news about his ordeal, Maqsood clarified, the news circulating on social media about me is baseless. He emphatically termed it as fake news and asserted his detachment from social media platforms, saying, “I neither have any social media account nor do I watch social media.”
To further undermine the sensational allegations, Maqsood revealed that he learned about the rumors through phone calls from concerned parties.

Highlighting the need for ethical reporting, he said, “I not only deny all such news, but I also condemn those who spread such news without any verification.”
By vehemently denying his involvement in the alleged kidnapping and torture, Anwar Maqsood hopes to quell baseless speculation and demonstrate his unwavering commitment to honesty and decency in the face of false information.
