Consuming Cold Drinks

Health experts suggest drinking more water by adding lemon, salt, light sugar, and mint leaves to water to protect your body from heat waves and keep you cool.

Conversely, if you don’t have air conditioning, improve the temperature in your home before going to bed, says Julie Goodrick, an ecologist at the University of Burton. Its ideal comfortable temperature range is 18 to 21 degrees Celsius.

Similarly, use light-colored sheets for bed, avoid sleeping during the day, and keep your body as cool as possible.

Wear loose and light-colored clothing to prevent perspiration and allow the body to breathe.

To avoid extreme heat you can use a cooling pad to keep the body cool, and use cold water for a bath.

According to the UK’s Health Security Agency, extreme heat causes more deaths, so use more water to avoid heatstroke.

Minimize consumption of hot drinks like tea, coffee, etc., stay away from caffeinated drinks, and try cold drinks like lassi, water, and desi drinks.

Limit your diet to home-cooked meals, avoid eating out, and eat more fruits and vegetables at home.

In the UK, the Health Security Agency has advised people to use umbrellas or white towels in hot weather and stay in the shade when going out.

Don’t let children get dehydrated and protect them from the sun to avoid heat stroke.

Also, try to avoid physically unnecessary activities during a heat wave.
Avoid the sun and do not work outside between 11 am and 3 pm.

Set Exercise Times

Avoid exercising during the hottest parts of the day; Instead, exercise in the early morning or late afternoon when it’s relatively cool outside, and drink plenty of water. Wear sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun.

Most people drink cold water immediately after stepping out of the sun to avoid the extreme heat, which increases the risk of catching a cold, sore throat, or cough.

So it is better to use a clay pot as its minerals are healthy and its water is quite cold.

Medical experts recommend taking extra care of your pets in the summer and providing them with maximum comfort.
