Apple Headset: Manufacturing Starts March 2023, Announcement in April.
It was report in May that Apple to begin had shown members of its board of directors its upcoming mixed-reality headset.
According to a DigiTimes report obtained by MacRumors, the device will go into production in the first quarter of 2023. The device could be unveil as early as April of the very next year.
The initial run is expected to be small, with rough estimates of around 0.7 million units for the year. According to reports, Pegatron will be the sole partner for final assembly.
The production date is consistent with analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s prediction, who stat that Apple could release the device between January and the second quarter of 2023.
Kuo also believes that the headset will be able to switch between augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) experiences seamlessly.
