Lahore to Faisalabad trains stopped; bridge collapse near Shahdara.
Sources report that the collapse of the pillar resulted in the shutdown of the Lahore-Faisalabad railway route for 72 hours. Until further notice, no trains will be running on this route.
The Marvi Express, Badar Express, and Ghouri Express between Lahore and Faisalabad are among the disrupted services. The Karakoram Express, traveling from Karachi to Lahore, has been rerouted through Sahiwal due to the track suspension. The Shalimar Express and Mianwali Express routes have also undergone alterations.
According to a railroad representative, railroad employees were on the scene when the pillar collapsed and immediately stopped train operations for safety. The bridge restoration project has started and is anticipated to be finished in the following 72 hours.
Lahore to Faisalabad travelers have experienced inconveniences as a result of the temporary suspension of this important train service. The track is being repaired by railway authorities, and regular train service will resume as soon as possible.
