Rinky Chakma, Miss India 2017, passed away after a long battle with cancer.
According to Indian media sources, former Miss India Rinky Chakma was fighting cancer for the last two years. Her health worsened, so she was hospitalized that month, where she died of further complications.

Former Miss India Tripura was reportedly diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022. He underwent surgery, but the disease initially attacked his lungs, before spreading to his head and becoming a brain tumor.
It may be recalled that Rinky Chakma was the winner of Miss India Tripura 2017.
