Government Increased the Price of Petrol Again

Government on Thursday increased price of petrol by Rs 4.13 per liter.

Petrol price increased by Rs 4.13 per liter on Thursday under the caretaker the government, which is leaving office.

According to a notice from the Finance Division, the new petrol price is Rs 279.75 per liter and will be in effect until March 15. According to the Finance Division, the cost of high-speed diesel remains constant at Rs 287.33 a liter.

The revised rates, which are in line with Ogra’s recommendations, are effective as of midnight on March 1 and will stay that way through March 15.

Prices for fuel and high-speed diesel were expected to increase after the exchange rate adjustment.

Every fifteen days, Pakistan updates its petroleum product pricing to account for fluctuations in global oil prices and shifts in the value of the rupee against the US dollar. The Pakistani rupee has been steady lately.

This was the interim administration’s third consecutive rise, and it will be the last one as the longest-serving caretaker government comes to an end this week with the prime minister’s election.
