Actress Noor Bukhari jumped into politics, files nomination papers.
The news of former actress Noor Bukhari entry into politics is circulating. According to media reports, Noor Sathrift is participating in the election on behalf of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP).
He submitted the papers for the reserved seat for women on behalf of IPP. With the decision to enter politics, the actress herself reached the Punjab Election Commission office to check the nomination papers.
It should be noted that Noor Bukhari is a close friend of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s wife Bushra and has been a part of Pakistani politics despite not being in politics for the past several years.
She has also become an adornment of the news due to expressing her opinion on the political scene more and more often.
Although several candidates have expressed their commitment to the PTC in their nomination papers, the situation is unclear as to whether the Tehreek-e-Insaf candidates will participate in the election as an independent.
The PTI has also filed several complaints with the Election Commission against the police and election officials, claiming that candidates were ill-treated and in some cases nomination papers were confiscated.
PTI leaders Yasmin Rashid, Ijaz Chaudhry, Alia Hamza and Sanam Javed, who were detained after the May 9 incidents in Punjab, have submitted their nomination papers.
According to the Election Commission’s schedule, the last date for decision on appeals is January 10. The final list of candidates will be released on January 11, while on January 13 all the candidates will be allotted election symbols.
