Sindh govt announce salary for Muslim employee ahead of Eid ul Fitr.
“…full Salary and allowances/full pension for April shall be paid in advance to all Muslim employees/pensioners of the Provincial Government of Sindh (including work-charged and contingent paid establishments,” a statement from the finance department stated.
The wages and pensions will be issued on April 17 instead of May 2, according to the announcement, which also noted that Eid is scheduled to fall on either April 21 or April 22.
The decision comes as Pakistanis deal with unprecedented high inflation, which has pushed many to sacrifice even vital culinary goods. The country is also struggling to acquire foreign finance, with the prospect of default hovering over it.
