Govt Imposed Conditions to Talk with Imran Khan

Dar insist on apology for May 9 violence before talks with Imran Khan.

Ishaq Dar advised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan to own his mistakes and make a commitment not to repeat them in an interview with a private TV station late on Sunday.

The minister said that the government is prepared to give the lender the two or three items that the IMF has once again requested, including the specifics of the budget and the exchange strategy.

The ninth review ought to be finished after that, he hoped. He promised that the budget was ready and that no one would be overburdened.

Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, offered to speak with the decision-makers in a video message a day ago and stated that if the situation in Pakistan worsens, the society would disintegrate, which is why he talks about dialogue.

The issues, he said, cannot be resolved with batons and torture; instead, the rule of law and institutions must be strengthened.

Dar said that Imran Khan has failed to apologize for the “35 punctures” charge as well, despite having pledged in writing that if the claims were proven false, he would apologize to the country. Dar’s remarks were made in a virtual speech to the PML-N’s abroad leaders.

The minister compared it to how the PTI chairman has not even expressed sincere regret for the harm done to the martyrs’ memorial.
