Imran Khan Will Initiate a Confidence Vote Against Shehbaz Sharif

Imran Khan urged PTI to bring confidence vote against Shehbaz Sharif.

Imran Khan added, “Utterly, we will test him,” when queried if the Prime Minister may be pressed to seek a confidence vote from the National Assembly during a conversation on a private media channel.

Imran claimed that since Shehbaz put the PTI to the test, the party would now turn the tables on the Prime Minister.

As per PTI Chairman, in a party meeting today, we will carry out comprehensive planning for both the trust vote and “other plans to fully put them in a trying position now,” in addition to the trust vote.

It is important to point out that the MQM-P, a significant ally of the ruling coalition PDM, has signaled their intention to resign from the federal cabinet over what they claim are unfulfilled commitments.

Previously, as per MQM-P sources, the party had discussed its options with its leaders and will make an announcement at a workers’ convention.

If Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asks for a “vote of confidence,” President Arif Alvi says he will uphold the Constitution.

Arif Alvi, the president, stated in an interview on a private media channel that “Bas Bohat Hogaya”—the Constitution gives a clear description of how to proceed in such circumstances—is to be followed.

This is a rumour, but I’ll ask PM Shehbaz to call a vote of confidence, as they (PTI) will request, he stated. The route forward will be dictated by what the Constitution says.

He stated that if the president believes that the senate lacks faith in the government, he can call for a confidence vote.
