Khuzdar shaken by 5.5 magnitude earthquake, tremors felt in areas.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located 160 kilometers northwest of the depth of 170 kilometers in khuzdar, according to the seismological center.
Reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba, people emerged from their houses terrified. There have been no reported fatalities from the earthquake, but several muddy houses have reportedly been destroyed.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 on the Richter scale rocked Gilgit and the surrounding regions in November.
There have been confirmed tremors in Gilgit and the surrounding areas, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC). But thus far, no reports of fatalities or property damage have come from any location.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located 84 kilometers to the northwest, and the depth of the tremor was measured at 45 kilometers, according to NSMC Islamabad.
The capital of Sindh province, Karachi, was rocked by a minor earthquake last month that registered a magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter Scale on Monday night.
