The KP Govt, led by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has decided to levy a fixed tax on beauty Salons and wedding halls.
Beauty parlors and wedding halls will be categorized according to business volume, as per the decision.

Muzzamil Aslam, the Director General of the KP Revenue Authority (KPRA), announced that beauty salons and wedding halls will be grouped according to their business volume. There will only be a fixed sales tax on services as of the upcoming fiscal year.
The spokeswoman stated, “Owners will have the choice of fixed and percentage rates of sales tax on services.”
It is important to note that the province is currently in a dire financial situation due to the over Rs. 10,000 billion in debt that the provincial administration has accrued over the last ten years.
PTI has ruled the province for the last ten years without launching any significant development. KPK has consequently been saddled with large debt. At the moment, the provincial government finds it difficult to pay employees’ salaries.
