Fast bowler star of Lahore Qalandars Haris Rauf withdrew from PSL 9.
Haris Rauf, the best pacer for Lahore Qalandars, has been forced to withdraw from the remainder of Pakistan Super League (PSL 9) due to an unfortunate injury he got on Saturday during the team’s encounter against Karachi Kings at Gaddafi Stadium.
“Haris Rauf, Pakistan, and Lahore Qalandars’ premier fast bowler, will be unavailable for the remainder of the Pakistan Super League after suffering a dislocated shoulder during a narrow defeat against Karachi Kings last night,” the team said in an official press release, confirming the depressing news.
Rauf sustained the injury in the 20th over as he made an incredible catch to remove Hasan Ali from the game and landed awkwardly on his shoulder.
Haris Rauf showed incredible fortitude by leaving the field with his arm taped and going through scans to determine the severity of his injury in spite of his obvious anguish.
Among his outstanding efforts during the game were bowling the most economical four overs, giving up just 22 runs, and getting a vital wicket. His contribution was crucial in determining the game’s outcome in the last over.
Following extensive consultation, the medical panel concluded that Rauf needs four to six weeks to recuperate, which means he must miss the rest of the PSL season.
