Sindh Police’s CTD apprehends the alleged ‘mastermind’ Amjad Sabri.
On June 22, 2016, Amjad Sabri, 45, was riding in his car from his home in the Liaquatabad district to a television studio when a motorcycle drove up next to it and the assailants started shooting.
A Lashkar-e-Jhangvi operator, representing the CTD, claimed that they apprehended Qasim Rasheed as he was registering his compliance upon his release from prison.
CTD states that Asim Capri and Ishaq Boby murdered Amjad Sabri’s on the instructions of Qasim Rasheed, who was in custody.
In his first statement, Rasheed admitted to killing Amjad Sabri’s and security personnel. Qasim Rasheed’s possession also included weapons and hand grenades.
It’s important to note that Ishaq and Asim, the individuals charged in the murder case of Amjad Sabri, received two death sentences each from the court for their involvement in an attack on an imam bargah in Karachi.
