Motorola has released the Edge 50 Pro, first smartphone with AI capabilities. The Edge 50 Pro, billed as the first smartphone camera recognized by Pantone in the world, sports a number of innovative features, including a Pantone SkinTone-certified display and an AI-driven professional-grade camera.
Features and Design
The 6.7-inch curved pOLED display, which has a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a resolution of 1220p, is the main attraction of the Edge 50 Pro. The panel boasts an extremely bright maximum brightness of 2,000 nits, earning it validation from Pantone for color accuracy and faithful portrayal of skin tones and real-world colors. Additionally, it integrates a 50MP front-facing camera with autofocus and an in-display fingerprint scanner into the display.
A 50MP primary camera with an f/1.4 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS) is the first thing that consumers see on the back. There is also a 10MP telephoto lens with a 3x optical zoom and a 13MP ultrawide lens that can be used as a macro camera. The Edge 50 Pro is notable for introducing Motorola’s first AI Photo Enhancement Engine, which offers motion capture and color segmentation optimizations.

Motorola’s latest Hello UI interface powers the Edge 50 Pro’s software, which is built on Android 14 and features generative AI for personalized wallpapers. It also introduces Motorola Smart Connect, a suite of connectivity features that work with Lenovo and Motorola PCs and cell phones. It supports data synchronization and external display. Motorola promises four years of security patches and three years of Android OS upgrades.
The device’s IP68-rated chassis houses a sturdy 4,500 mAh battery capable of charging with either 125W wired or 50W wireless technology.
Colors
The Edge 50 Pro weighs 186 grams and is available in three different colors: Luxe Lavender, Black Beauty, and Moon Light Pearl with an acetate finish. The Moonlight Pearl variant features a handcrafted design by Mazzucchelli 1849 in Italy.
Price of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro in Pakistan
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is expected to retail for 138,999 PKR in Pakistan. Two varieties are available: one with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, and the other with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
