MQM Raises Concern Over Census Process

MQM Coordination Committee meets in Bahadurabad, highlights issues.

MQM coordination committee meeting was held at Bahadurabad center where census and by-elections were discussed among other issues.

KARACHI: Coordination Committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) has once again highlighted its concern regarding the census. Saying it is a red line for the party. MQM will inform the federal government and CCC about the census issues.

According to the sources, the coordination committee expressed concern over the process of censused. The MQM’s census method, and said that in many areas where the census officials could not reach, in many areas, the residents of the same building has been counted.

The Liaison Committee reportedly said that this is MQM’s red line, MQM’s will express its concerns to the federal government and the Chief Commissioner of Population.

According to the sources, no decision could be taken in the conference regarding participation in local body by-elections.

It should be note that the MQM’s in Pakistan had earlier expressed concern about the census, to which the Prime Minister responded by assuring to remove the doubts of the MQM.
