Netflix has confirmed that “The Witcher” will end with its season 5.
Season 4 of The Witcher, the first to not star Henry Cavill, has officially begun filming, and season 5 will follow season 4 in a back-to-back schedule, according to Netflix.
As per Netflix, the next two seasons will culminate “the adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski’s books,” encompassing three Witcher books: Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and Lady of the Lake.

It was first revealed by Netflix that Liam Hemsworth would assume the role in 2022 and last year a fifth season was officially confirmed. Thus, Cavill’s portrayal of the character, which debuted in 2019, came to an end with The Witcher’s third season last summer. Season 4 will feature Laurence Fishburne among other new cast members in addition to Hemsworth.
The third season will center on Aretuza, a magical school where Gerlat thinks Ciri will learn how to control her power. However, as is typical on the Continent, there are many political intrigues, corruptions, and evil forces at work. On July 27, The Witcher season 3’s last three episodes will be available on Netflix.
Joey Batey, who plays the bard Jaskier, Anna Shaffer, who plays the always adorable Triss Merigold, MyAnna Buring, who plays the sorcerer Tissaia de Vries, Eamon Farren, who plays the reformed Nilfgaardian warrior Cahir, and many more will be joining the core trio.
