No Fresh Currency Notes this Eid ul Fitr, Announces SBP

New currency notes won’t be issued on Eid due to Pakistan’s economy.

According to the central bank, on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr. The public could earlier order the new currency notes through SMS, but this time they will not be printed.

In Pakistan, elderly relatives use fresh currency notes to give Eidi to children on the occasion of the festival.

The State Bank has not given any justification for the decision, but it was done at a time. When the delayed reactivation of the IMF’s lending program was continuing to deplete its foreign exchange reserves.
