Differences between the senior members of the (PDM) government and the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) have reportedly reached an impasse.

The Express Tribune claimed that despite opposition from the government, the bench led  Justice Umar Ata Bandial (CJP)  determined about scheduling provincial elections in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Which claimed to  arbitrarily exercised by CJP Bandial, and have reportedly asked for a larger bench to address the country’s ongoing political unrest, according to news.

The Prime Minister led administration, on the other hand, has the support of Pakistan’s formidable military establishment, which recently warned the Chief Justice of Pakistan and other judges that the country’s security situation makes it impossible to hold elections in the two provinces.
