PML-N and MQM-P form alliance for Pakistan’s Feb 8 general elections.
The announcement was made by PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique, according to Pakistan News Today, following a meeting between Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the party, and a delegation from the MQM-P, comprising Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Farooq Sattar and Syed Mustafa Kamal in the party’s Model Town secretariat in Lahore.
He said that in an apparent attempt to weaken the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), which has a stronghold in Sindh, both parties have chosen to run jointly in the elections on February 8.
