Prime Minister Shahbaz announced relief for KPK

PM Shehbaz Sharif instructs NDMA for Relief in Rain-Affected Areas.

He directed the necessary authorities to issue a statement with a report on relief activities in KPK within 24 hours.

Heavy rain, strong winds and thunderbolts in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday caused walls, trees and power poles to fall, killing 28 people and injuring over 140.

The Prime Minister also emphasized the urgent need for immediate action as Cyclone Beparjoy nears Karachi. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of proactive planning with the Sindh government and urged the NDMA to adopt appropriate security measures.

Shahbaz Sharif further emphasized the importance of providing full assistance to the residents of Balochistan during the storm and heavy rains. He condoled the loss of precious lives due to heavy rains in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) Chairman Hafiz Nauman met Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore on Saturday. In the meeting, the Prime Minister was informed about the measures taken by LESCO to solve the problems related to power theft as well as demand and supply of electricity.

The Chairman of LESCO also updated on how the Prime Minister’s solarization initiative is being implemented under the purview of LESCO.
