Proposal of four days election holidays to Sindh government

Advised the Sindh government for a four-day election holidays for the election.

In light of the general elections to be held on February 8, the Sindh Education Department has proposed a four-day election holidays from February 6 to February 9 in the province.

The summary of the department’s recommendation to keep all schools, colleges and universities closed from February 6 to February 9 has been submitted to Chief Minister Maqbool Baqir.

After the consent of the Chief Minister, a four-day election holiday will be officially announced in Sindh.

Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday announced that all private and public educational institutions of Punjab will remain closed for four days to conduct the elections. In connection with the general elections to be held on February 8, the educational institutions of the province will remain closed from February 6 to February 9, 2024.
