Punjab School Department reserves quota jobs for teachers’ children.
According to details, SED Punjab has set aside a 10% Quota job quota for the children of teachers. The Secretary SED Punjab has complete a summary, which will be forward to the Chief Minister (CM) Punjab for final approval. SED, once approve, Punjab’s service rules will be change to make it easier for teachers’ children. To put this in context, 100 of SED’s 1,000 jobs will be reserved for teachers’ children.
In the coming months, the Punjab government plans to hire 27,000 new SED employees. The amended service rules will reserve 2,700 posts for the children of SED teachers.

Initially, the Punjab government planned to hire 16,000 teachers for public schools. Later, it announced the hiring of 11,000 non-teaching personnel in public schools. Furthermore, the provincial government had forwarded a summary to CM Punjab in order to regularise 14,000 teachers in public sector educational institutes.
