Rawalpindi announce 2 holiday for school & college due to current law.
According to media reports, all public and private school and college will be closed on November 8 and 9. The decision on whether to extend the closure will be made later.
The development comes after the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) called on its workers to protest following Imran Khan’s assassination attempt during the long march near Wazirabad.
Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and a former Prime Minister, was shot in the legs, and several other party leaders were also injured. Unfortunately, one PTI employee was killed in the incident.
PTI workers took to the streets in Islamabad last month after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) disqualified PTI Chairman Imran Khan in the Toshakhana reference.
The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police also set up diversions in many areas of the city to maintain law and order in the federal capital.
