Sindh government declares public holiday on Thursday for Labour Day.
The announcement stated, “The Government of Sindh has been pleased to designate May 1, 2023 (Monday) as a Public Holiday in the Province of Sindh on the occasion of Labour Day.
Except for essential services, all offices, autonomous, semi-autonomous bodies, companies, and local councils under the administrative supervision of the Govt of Sindh shall celebrate the public holiday.
The goal of this day is to start the process of protecting industrial employees and labourers against exploitation on the workplace.
