Sukkur SHC Ordered Uninterrupted Power Supply to Pumping Stations

Sukkur: SHC Sukkur orders uninterrupted power supply to water station.

During the course of hearing petitions about the drainage of floodwater Sukkur and the aid of flood victims, the bench made orders to their disregard for the court’s directives, and the Chief Secretary for Sindh and the Secretary for Irrigation were sent with show cause notices.

They were required to put together and submit the floodwater drainage plan by the bench during a prior hearing. During the hearing, attorney Nisar Bhanbhro informed the court that the power load shedding period for SCARP tubewells and water discharge pumping stations has been increased.

Khairpur District

floodwater is still present in homes and on agricultural property

The Khairpur district administration had filed a fraudulent report with the court, advocate Shabbir Shar informed the bench. The attorney said, “In certain areas of the district, floodwater is still present in homes and on agricultural property.” “Water is still prevalent in several Saleh Patt locations, preventing wheat cultivation on agricultural grounds,” said a Nisar Bhanbhro supporter.

According to the court, “Action should be taken if someone is forcibly releasing water onto the lands.” Numerous regions of Sindh were swamped this year by unprecedented rains and flooding, leaving millions of people without a place to live.

Many residents of Sindh’s flood-affected areas have relocated to Karachi and Hyderabad. A sizable portion of the province’s territory was transformed into a massive lake of floodwater. Up to this point, a sizable portion of the province could not have its floodwaters drained out.
