Shawn Levy, the Deadpool 3 director is uncertain about its release.
Deadpool 3 Filming on the threequel, which reunites Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds in the title role and marks Wolverine’s return after more than five years, was already underway. But everything came to an abrupt halt when the strike was announced, and even the threequel had to switch off the cameras.
A fresh, concerning rumor has surfaced since director Shawn Levy hinted at a potential postponement of the film’s release date. Levy claims that because of the production halt that followed actors joining authors on the picket line, the release date is at “true risk.” “I don’t even know if we officially have [a release date],” Levy clarified. I knew that May 3rd was our date. That release date is definitely in jeopardy because of the prolonged production delay and the actors’ strike.
Speaking about the action movie starring Ryan Reynolds, Levy added that the story was still being worked out because it had only been partially shot and edited. “Half the film has been filmed. I have edited 50% of the film. Levy said, “We can’t wait to get back to work and release this film next year.
During the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes on July 14, production on Deadpool 3 was halted. Walt Disney Motion Pictures will handle distribution for the movie. In addition to Ryan, other performers that will feature in the movie are Matthew Macfadyen, Jennifer Garner, and Morena Baccarin.
