About 4,000 Israeli soldiers have been disabled since the beginning of the war in the Gaza Strip, Israel! The news website reported that the number is expected to reach 30,000.
The website said the Israeli military does not provide public records of casualties among its ranks, to avoid demoralizing Israeli society.
According to Walla, 4,000 soldiers have been recognized as having a “category 3” disability, which means they are entitled to all the treatment and rights given to a disabled person in the Israeli army.
While according to the latest Israeli media, the Israeli army says that one of its soldiers was killed in a battle with Palestinian armed groups in Gaza.
Dan Wijdenbaum, a 24-year-old soldier from the 5037th Battalion of the Yaftah Brigade, was killed in fighting in the middle of the Gaza Strip on Friday, the army said.
The number of soldiers killed on the ground now stands at 187 since Israel’s ground offensive began in late October.
In another news, the Lebanese group said it bombed an Israeli tank at the “Metola site”, killing and injuring its crew members.
