Babar Azam to be Honored with Sitara-e-Imtiaz on Pakistan Day

Babar Azam will be the youngest cricketer to receive the Sitara-e-Imtiaz from Pakistan.

At the age of 28, Babar Azam will become the youngest cricketer to receive the Star Imtiaz. Highlighting his outstanding achievements. The award will be given on 23 March 2023.

Babar Azam will receive the Stara Imtiaz, as announced earlier by the Pakistani government. And now the date for the ceremony has been fixed.

The top batsman will not play in the series against Afghanistan starting on March 24, as he will take a break from cricket to attend the event.

Babar Azam has emerged as a role model for aspiring cricketers, and this award is a reflection of his commitment and labor of love for the game.

Many other prominent cricketers of Pakistan have also received the prestigious Sitara-e-Imtiaz from the Government of Pakistan.

Notably, four former captains, including Misbah-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, Shahid Afridi and Sarfraz Ahmed, have been awarded the country’s third-highest civilian honor for their outstanding service in cricket.

Before him, only four other cricketers had received the Sitara-e-Imtiaz award for their outstanding sporting achievements. These include Javed Miandad in 1992, Muhammad Yusuf in 2011, Javed Miandad in 1992, Saeed Ajmal in 2015, and Inzamam-ul-Haq in 2005.
