Baidu’s Ernie 3.5 beats GPT-4 in Chinese skills ChatGPT (3.5) overall.
Baidu ‘Ernie 3.5’, the most recent iteration of Baidu’s AI chatbot, is now doing even better than OpenAI’s ChatGPT, according to the leading Chinese technology company.
An announcement of the development was made by Baidu in a recent blog post, which stated that “Ernie 3.5 has made significant strides in beta testing, surpassing ChatGPT (3.5) in comprehensive ability scores and outperforming GPT-4 in several Chinese language capabilities.”
The Ernie 3.5 performs better than previous versions in terms of creative writing, Q&A, logic, and code production, according to Baidu’s CTO Dr. Haifeng Wang.
Ernie Bot may be used in “any applications involving language, text, or code,” he continued.
Dr. Haifeng continued by enumerating the numerous accomplishments of Baidu’s Ernie Bot, claiming that the chatbot has uses in industries like smart workplaces, programming, marketing, media, education, and finance.
During the announcements, “plugins,” which are rapidly becoming into a significant component of the AI sector, were also covered.
The Baidu Search default plugin and the ChatFile plugin, which provides long text summaries and even questions and answers, are also features that will distinguish the Ernie 3.5.
“Ernie 3.5 expands the model’s capabilities through plugins,” claimed Dr. Haifeng.
Baidu will soon accept third-party-made plugins, much like OpenAI’s ChatGPT does. According to the firm, “We are also committed to opening the plugin ecosystem to third-party developers, empowering them to build unique applications based on Ernie.”
