Amar Khan: ‘Legend of Maula Jatt’ Visual Triumph in Cinema History

0

Amar Khan hails ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ as cinematic masterpiece.

She released a lengthy review on Saturday to support her position. “The Legend of Maula Jatt is accelerating into its wonderful years as it accurately speaks our heart out ‘bara hi swaad aya ay!'” It had a lot of flavour. In Pakistani cinema history, this colossal action Gandasa film by Bilal Lashari will be remember as the best visual victory ever. This film is a testament to Bilal’s extensive labour of love and ten years of effort as a filmmaker. This incredible character blocking and cinematography have never before been seen in Pakistan,” she wrote.

She selected each character and discussed what made them unique. We haven’t seen a villain from the subcontinent this terrifying and growling in a very long time. This movie belongs to Hamza Ali Abbasi. With his aura, Fawad Khan, who will always be our unstoppable hero, expertly defeated the protagonist. Mirza Gohar Rasheed appeared to be performing at the peak of his career while high on scorpion cannabis, in my opinion. As Mukho, Mahira Khan radiates beauty with her innocence and vivacious charisma. Faris Shafi is very comfortable and fun while getting that tan sun tan. Humaima Malick appeared seductive and credible.

She also lauded the crew and production team, who work behind the scenes but are in charge of creating the magic seen on television. The dialogue from Nasir Adeeb Saab “hits sixers straight to the gallery. What a bold and grandiose effort the film’s creators made. I hope you guys have a successful box office run with “Moolah.” A special thank you to the three people who have supported this movie the most: Fahad Hussayn, Maram Azmat, and Aabroo Hashimi. I am extremely please with you guys. Kudos to the entire production design/art team, especially Zara Shahjahan.

Minor Problem.

The Punjabi pronunciation of some actors was the only thing the Dum Mastam actor found problematic. Why are some artists not taking the diction and tonality seriously when so much money, time, and technological know-how is going into such a picture, is a minor worry. Actor Mustafa Qureshi sb also spoke Urdu and understood Punjabi very well.

She concluded by asking with the responsible parties to refrain from depriving the public of such a fantastic movie that is only showing in a small number of theatres. “I saw this movie last night in Capri because Karachi’s two theatres are the only ones showing Pakistan’s biggest movie to date. What happens if athletes win the world cup without taking the field at their home stadium? The phrase “Ais maulay nu maaran laye cine-ma nai cine-pyo bulana paway ga” is used. Please don’t deny the audience the opportunity to witness such a large-scale movie on the bara parda. Congratulations to the team and big virtual hugs to you all!

FATF Make a Decision on Pakistan’s Fate This Week.

FATF Make a Decision on Pakistan's Fate This Week.

FATF to decide Pakistan Grey List status at Plenary Session on Oct 21.

The FATF  will examine, among other things, the assessment of an on-site team that visited Pakistan in September to verify the steps taken by the country to implement the plan of action.

A 15-member Financial Action Task Force team quietly visited Pakistan in September, the final step before the country’s removal from the grey list. The team’s findings would be discussed and reviewed at the FATF’s next meeting in its upcoming plenary session.

The positive findings of the onsite team would allow Pakistan to finally come clean about flaws in the system for combating money laundering and terrorist financing.

According to official sources, the Financial Action Task Force team, which was granted a state guest-level protocol, stayed in the country from August 29 to September 2.

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) approved a special grant of Rs7 million for the FATF Secretariat to provide accommodation, food, and travel for the FATF team.

The visit was kept under wraps, but sources said the FATF delegation met with relevant authorities and verified Pakistan’s efforts to meet the international financial watchdog’s requirements on money laundering and terror financing.

The FATF hinted at Pakistan’s removal from the grey list in June after concluding that Pakistan complied with the 34-point plan of action and agreeing to send a team to verify those steps.

FATF Grey List

The FATF placed Pakistan on the grey list in June 2018 due to deficiencies in its system to combat money laundering and terrorist financing. It was given a 27-point action plan at first, and then another 7-point plan to comply with (FATF) standards.

Pakistani anti-terrorism court convicted Sajid Mir in a terror financing case, convincing (FATF) members to recognize Pakistan’s progress.

Pakistani officials were confident that the FATF team would give the country a positive assessment of its progress. Officials cautioned, however, that the neighboring country could still use its influence to drag Pakistan’s case.

The US is thought to have played a key role in ensuring Pakistan’s onsite visit, expressing satisfaction with the country’s measures to combat terror financing, particularly the prosecution of specific individuals.

The removal of Pakistan from the FATF grey list will help to restore Pakistan’s image and give foreign investors confidence in doing business in the country. The grey-listing makes financial transactions difficult for countries and raises the cost of doing business.

Pakistan’s likely removal from the grey list will provide a boost to the country’s struggling economy.

Apple Freezes Plans to Utilize China's YMTC Chips: Report

Apple delays using Yangtze Memory Technologies’ chips in its products.

Nikkei said that Apple had previously planned to start using the NAND flash memory chips supplied by the state-funded YMTC as early as this year. At initially, the chips were only planned to be used in iPhones sold in the Chinese market.

The newspaper reported that it was thinking about eventually buying up to 40% of the chips required for every iPhone from YMTC.

A list of companies that U.S. investigators have been unable to check was updated last week to include 30 additional Chinese organizations, including the largest memory chip manufacturer in China, YMTC. This heightened tensions with Beijing and started a 60-day clock that could result in even harsher penalties.

Additionally, the U.S. Commerce Department is investigating whether YMTC broke American export regulations when it sold chips to the blacklisted Chinese telecom firm Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.

The Biden administration’s extensive export controls on China are meant to limit Beijing’s technological and military gains by preventing Beijing from obtaining particular semiconductor chips made elsewhere in the world utilising American technology.

YMTC declined to comment, while Apple took some time to answer Reuters’ request for a remark.
