Death Toll in Gaza-Israel War, Occupied West Bank Nears 19,000

Gaza-Israel war persist, particularly near hospital and southern area.

According to recent death statistics, 18,894 Palestinians, including at least 7,794 children, have been killed in the Gaza-Israel war in Gaza and the West Bank.

Additionally, at least 53,959 Palestinians have been injured, according to Al Jazeera.

According to Al Jazeera, which cited the Israeli military, 1,147 people have been killed and 8,730 injured in Israel since October 7.

On November 10, officials revised the death toll from 1,405 to “around 1,200”.

Reducing Israel’s high-intensity operations in Gaza is something that US President Joe Biden and Chief National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan have discussed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a senior US official said on Thursday.

The emphasis on a “shift” in tactics is the most recent in Washington’s weeks-long campaign of pressure to take further action to safeguard Gaza’s 2.3 million residents.

Although Sullivan declined to provide specifics or a timeframe for the change, he told Israel’s Channel 12 television that he had “constructive” discussions with Netanyahu regarding Israel moving to a more focused and targeted phase of the operations.

The US was pushing for a change to happen by the end of the year, according to a Thursday story in The New York Times.

“I want them to be focused on how to save civilian lives, not stop going after Hamas, but be more careful,” Biden said in response to a question regarding that timeline.

At a routine press briefing, White House spokesperson John Kirby informed reporters that Sullivan had talked about moving to lower-intensity operations in “the near future,” but he would not give a precise timeline.

“The last thing we want to do is send Hamas a message about what they can expect in the upcoming weeks and months,” he stated.
