Unknown assailants opened fire at house of TV anchor Iqrar Ul Hasan.
Gunmen Firing upon the house of well-known private TV Anchor Iqrar ul Hassan, situated in the upscale area of Lahore Defense.
The early morning attack on Iqrar ul Hassan’s home shocked the area, with several rounds being fired at the residence.
TV anchor Iqrar ul Hassan posted on Facebook late at night that “Lahore Defense Police has registered a case of firing at my house.”
In his Facebook post, Hassan also shared a late-night video in which he informed his supporters that “some time ago there is heavy firing at my house in Lahore, the police arrived at the scene and confiscated CCTV cameras.” and request for prayers.
Eyewitnesses described the terrifying experience as the assailants quickly fled, law enforcement agencies rushed to the scene and began their investigation.
Fortunately, their initial analysis confirmed that the attack did not affect or injure anyone.
Hassan recounted a similar event just a few days ago, causing him to seek legal action by filing a formal complaint with the appropriate authorities.
Authorities discovered 9mm pistol ammunition near Hassan’s home.
SP Cantt Owais Shafiq assured an ongoing investigation with the benefit of CCTV footage for the leads.
